For real, I LOVE these girls!!!  My sister, Laura, and I met them at church back in 2000 when we were all single and livin' it up.  Oh my goodness, the good times we all had together, back in the day.  Plus, we have all stayed really close even though we have all, at one point, moved away, when we get together, it is like no time has passed.  I can't believe we all are married with kids now (well, mine is coming very soon - I was the slow poke when it came to settling down.  It is so fun to see all of us grown up with our own families.  Michelle and I have already decided that her baby, Nick, and my baby are going to be best friends!  I did this shoot for them while I was in Utah in July. Loved it!

The Psuik's have lived next door to my parents in Utah since we moved there back in 1999, we just love them (even though they decided to move away last month).  I know my parents sure do miss them living there.  But I was so excited when they asked me to do a shoot with all the grandkids while I was there in July!  It was so fun to see everyone.

0056.jpg0032.jpgCheck this guys out! He was such a stud, posing for me like crazy.  I LOVED it!

Do you know how dependent on technology we are?  You really don't realize it until something happens like your computer dies.  Yes, my computer completely gave up the ghost last week and I was lost.  All of my weddings and other shoots are stored elsewhere (and backed up), thank goodness, but everything on my desktop was gone, including my emails and calendar (so hard to get through a day without those).  Best Buy was able to restore a lot of what was there, but any programs that I had were completely gone and that has been the hardest part.  Re-installing, remember everything that I had on there, calling/emailing to get passwords and activation codes again.  Finally, finally, I think I am back up and running at a semi-normal pace.  Yes, and we learned everything the hard way.  Get an online back-up for your computer!!!!  This process would have been FAR less painful with that.

Anyways, so I am pretty far behind on editing (it's kinda hard without Photoshop).  But I was able to edit a couple of weddings and shoots and I wanted to get up a preview.  There is so much more to come.  This summer has been crazy busy and I have so many amazing images that I want to share.

First is Bryan and Lynn's wedding.  It was held at a Barn in Oxnard.  Soooo beautiful, plus they are such an amazing couple.  It was such a pleasure to be a part of their day.
0130.jpgI loved this shot from their wedding.  I edited how I normally do, but then I I decided to have a little fun with it.  I love the feeling of the picture.
0147.jpg0181.jpgKent and Maika were married at the Newport Beach LDS Temple.  They are such a sweet couple.  Kent is from Logan, Utah, where my sister lives!  Carlos and I are going up there this next week and I am going to be able to do some bridals for Maika.  I can't wait!
0207.jpg0273.jpg0381.jpgA year ago I was able to do some family portraits for the Pratt Family,  when cute little William was only a baby.  I love when I can watch as little families grow, such a fun part of my job.  They will be welcoming a little baby girl into their family in November!  So exciting!
0100.jpg0106.jpg0107.jpgApril teaches  the viola and violin and she called me to help her with some pictures for her new website.  I was so excited and a little nervous, I had never done anything like that before.  But I am SO excited with the results.  April is SO fun and if anyone is looking for a teacher, let me know and I will send you her way.

What a fun day this was!  Nick and Ashley had such a cute backyard wedding.  They are high school sweethearts so there were so many people there wish them luck and love.  It was such a warm wedding, not just the weather, but the whole feeling of the day.  Plus they had In-N-Out cater their reception.  Yeah, they had a happy photographer (In-N-Out grilled cheese sandwiches have been one of my pregnant cravings).  Here are some of my favorites, plus the slideshow at the end.

Such a hot couple, plus beautiful Southern California light equals beautiful pictures.  Not to mention 3 adorable pooches.  Their puppies are their kids, which I totally understand and appreciate.  I LOVE my little Chloe dog with all of my guts.  If Carlos and I had had her when we got married she would have been in our engagement pictures too (she is going to make an appearance in my maternity photos in a couple of weeks).  I couldn't narrow their pictures down to the normal 10-12 images, sooooo there are a few more :)
