Have you been to the Korakia in Palm Springs?  Oh my, it is so beautiful!!!  I want to come back and stay just for fun.  Someday.  It was so a beautiful venue for Jason and Anna's wedding.

My baby boy turned one on October 12th!  I cannot believe it!  This has been the best year of my life.  Busy, crazy, yes!  Balancing being a full time mom and a full time business owner has been so insane, but so worth it.  I am a mommy first, it is the best job in the whole world.  Can you blame me?  Have you seen that sweet little face?  It is the most precious face ever!

On October 21st we had a big birthday party for Leo, lovingly referred to in my family as the Extravaganza :)  It was such a blast!  Family and friends came from near and far.  It was a very special day for my little family.

Below are some of my favorites from Leo's 1 year photo session.  I love this baby!

In a perfect world I could live half the year in California and half the year in Utah.  Or, somehow, I could combine the two states to make one huge dream state.  But, we don't live in a perfect world, so I will just have to settle for shooting fantastic weddings up in Utah every once in awhile.  How beautiful was Geoff and Laura's wedding?  Seriously.  The backdrop was out of control.  As I was driving up the the Peruvian Lodge in Alta, I was blown away with how beautiful Utah's mountains are.  Yes, I lived there for 10 years, but every time I come back I am reminded.  Don't forget to check out their slideshow at the end of the post with tons more pictures.

I met up with Steven and Kristen for their engagement session just a few days before their wedding.  And I'm so glad I did!  They are such a cute, fun couple I was even more excited to shoot their beautiful Santa Barbara wedding that weekend.  Stay tuned for that!


 

Laura and Geoff's - although, I've never actually called him by his real name, I've only ever know him as Phatty, so we'll go with that :)  Bridal session was a BLAST!  I traveled to Utah for their wedding, the scenery was breathtaking!  We did their session along the Alpine Loop in Utah County.  Needless to say, I was a very happy photographer!

I've know Phatty for a long time.  I was so happy when he asked me to photograph their wedding.  Wait until you see their beautiful Alta wedding.  That is coming up next.
